Mehta Orthodontics is Temporarily Closed – What Does This Mean for My Treatment?

The team at Mehta Orthodontics have made the difficult, but important, decision to postpone any non-urgent appointments. You can be assured that this decision was not made lightly but was made to protect our patients, staff and families.

Given this temporary closure, you may have a few questions. We are here to support you and will continue to find new ways to provide you with the highest quality orthodontic care.

Will this delay my treatment?

We know part of successful orthodontic treatment is showing up for your appointments. Though your appointments are scheduled to achieve maximum success, this unusual situation should not have much of an impact on your overall treatment plan. Dr Mehta will work hard to get your treatment plan back on track when we reopen.

You can help keep treatment on track by following Dr Mehta and his team’s directions, avoiding hard and sticky foods and keeping your teeth clean.  With limited appointments available, now is not the time to be breaking brackets, and keeping your teeth clean will ensure the best possible result.

What now?

Make sure to stay in contact with our practice about when we plan to reopen and contact us about any appointments you are going to miss to get them rescheduled. We will continue to stay in contact with you through our social media outlets and our website.

A timeline as to when we reopen will depend on Government advice, but you can rest assured we are making decisions with your best interests in mind.

Mehta Orthodontics will continue any treatment that is considered essential.

If you have an urgent need during this time, such as pain or injury, Dr Mehta will be available for emergency appointments. Please contact our practice to determine the best course of action for your specific situation. We have also set up virtual appointments to enable Dr Mehta to speak to you directly and assess your situation virtually.

There is a lot of uncertainty right now, but one thing we know for sure …

Dr Mehta and his team look forward to seeing you back in our practice soon!

If you have any other questions, my staff and I are available and can be contacted during regular business hours by phone on 02 8883 4444 or by email at admin@mehtaorthodontics.com.au.
