If you are wearing braces or any other orthodontic appliance and are planning a holiday, you need to be prepared. Here are a list of handy items to pack when going on holidays with braces or other orthodontic appliances:
- Travel toothbrush
- Comfort wax
- Floss
- Interdental brush
- A water bottle
- Elastics (if Dr Mehta has instructed you to wear them)
- Spare retainer case to keep your orthodontic appliance safe and clean
Use your “braces care pack” that you were given when we first put braces on you. It is the perfect travel accessory and contains most of the above items. If you experience problems while on holiday, such as a broken bracket or arch wire, try and use the comfort wax provided to reduce any possible discomfort.
